The Mentalist
Having performed both internationally and locally Phoenix has appeared live with celebrities such as Wil Anderson (Triple J, Glasshouse), Justin Hamilton (JJJ, Glasshouse), Bob Franklin (Jimeoin, Bad Eggs), Greg Fleet (Today Fm morning Crew), Tom Gleeson (Triple M, Skithouse, Comedy Inc.) and has received a FANTASTIC response from audience members, clients, and other celebrities including the cast of “Wolverine”, starring Hugh Jackman.
Phoenix was appointed magic trainer to Hollywood actor, Taylor Kitsch, who plays the legendary “Gambit” in the film, & was on set advising on camera angles on certain sleights, achieving praise personally from Hugh Jackman for his contribution to the scenes.
Phoenix recently performed his water tank escape on TV show, Australia’s Got Talent as 1.3 million viewers watched. The illusion was such a jaw dropper, it had all three judges & the entire audience standing to applaud, the ONLY act in the heats to do this. Phoenix followed this act with a combination of adagio & illusion in the semi final of the show.
Phoenix has also recently returned from lectures in Las Vegas & meetings with the worlds top minds when it comes to illusions, the very same builders who worked with David Copperfield.

Mentalism was the first form of “Magic” ever trained in by Phoenix – as an 8 year old child Phoenix stumbled across body language books & took up a certain interest. Years later this interest spilled over into other areas of magic, such as Grand Illusion & of course, the combination of Comedy & Magic.
Reading behavior patterns, such as muscle, facial, & body language patterns is still one of Phoenix’s favourite skills, along with hypno, predictions, & other facets of the Mental Magic field.
Human lie detection, predictions, & psychology come together in this show to an extreme level, so much so that The Charlatan will risk putting a steel spike through his hand..
This show will, without any doubt, have your audience AMAZED & talking about it for months after your function.

Phoenix’s unbelievable psychological masterpiece mentalist show with an unusual finish, his jaw dropping “Water Tank Escape” (as seen on Australia’s Got Talent 09 where he received a standing ovation by both the judges & the audience). Escapes are unusual for a Mentalist, but this escape requires pure control of one’s own mind & heart rate. An exciting end to an incredible show! Other large effects can be added also upon request.
