Sue-Anne Webster

has been performing magic all her life, but it’s only over the last few years that people commented on her uncanny resemblance to Barbara Eden’s beloved character ‘Jeannie’ from the hit TV sitcom ‘I Dream of Jeannie’.

Sue-Anne first performed on stage as Jeannie in 2004 at the Australian Convention of Magicians where she was voted ‘Best Stage Magic Act’.

When some early pictures of her in costume appeared on the internet, IDreamOfJeannie.com creator Patterson Lundquist came across them and said “The only thing that tipped me off that something was ‘different’ about the photo was I had never seen ‘Jeannie’ in that particular photo before.”

After getting to know Sue-Anne and seeing some videos of her in action, Patterson was convinced.

“Not only can she perform magic, and capture the audience, she captures Jeannie’s personality and character as well. I have no doubt in my mind that Sue Anne could very well be the next Jeannie, she’s really that good”

But he wasn’t the only one! Sue-Anne has appeared as Jeannie at the Armageddon Pop Culture Expo where she was inundated with fans eager to pay to have their picture taken with her!

Even Barbara Eden herself, looking at a picture of Sue-Anne as Jeannie, said “That looks just like me!”

Jeannie fan sites have been buzzing with people eager to see Sue-Anne take the lead in the long awaited ‘I Dream of Jeannie’ movie. “Sue-Anne Webster (has to be her! She already is Jeannie!)”

American media commentator Lance Norris said “I know just who they should get: Sue-Anne Webster. She is an Australian actress (don’t hold the fact that an Australian actress help goon up the BEWITCHED movie against her) and magician who look more like Barbara Eden than Barbara Eden does these days.”

Sue-Anne has even performed for some of the production team from the movie when they caught her act at Hollywood’s Magic Castle. They said the same as everyone else did, watching Sue-Anne is like seeing Jeannie step right off the screen into real life.
